Pilgrimage in Everyday Life – hear from the pilgrims

‘A light at the centre of the world, a fire at the world’s edge… this Wisdom Christ shines forth’ (Bruno Barnhart)

Throughout the month of June, Charlotte Wright has accompanied some of us on a ‘Pilgrimage in Everyday Life’ with online meetings and resources. We have explored Bruno Barnhart’s Wisdom of the Cross and his ideas about the four poles or ‘movements’ of his cross mandala: Silence, Word, Music and Dance.

Barnhart was influential in the emerging thought, theology and contemplative practice of Cynthia Bourgeault and also Richard Rohr, among others.

In this Time of Togetherness, we will experience one of Bruno’s meditations and a body prayer we used. We will also hear from some of the Companions and Friends who took part in the pilgrimage, who will share a tiny taste of their journey with us in the form of something they have created on their pilgrimage, or a word, phrase, image or concept from it that lingers with them still.
