CF at Greenbelt 2019 festival

Our team of six had a great time showing and telling people about Contemplative Fire at Greenbelt 2019 at Boughton House near Kettering – Ali Dorey, Caroline Newton, Sally Livsey, Sheila Shotts, Ian Fordyce and Helen Fitch-Hunter. Many festival-goers dropped in to see us at our stand in the Takeaway section, where we gave out large quantities of perfumed prayer cards and leaflets.

The response to our services was incredibly encouraging. Around 65 people came to Morning Prayer in the Grove where we began showing new people our practice of body prayer and led a time of contemplation with the help of verbal reflection and rhythmic playing of a Himalayan singing bowl. At the evening Wild Wonder service in the Grove on Saturday about 45 people joined in meditative walking and body prayer, as well as reflecting on our connection to creation.
