Contemplative Fire at St. Peter’s Church, St Peters Street, St Albans AL1 3HG

Guest Gathering

An invitation to journey with us as we enter more deeply into the understanding and teaching of Jesus and the Christian mystics, exploring a rhythm of contemplation, creativity and compassion, engaging imaginatively

  • with texts, signs and symbols
  • body prayer and contemplative liturgy
  • music and the arts
  • stillness and spaciousness

From 6.15pm for 6.30pm start to conclude at 8pm.

Please see calendar for dates.

The church is situated at the northern end of St Peter's Street, just beyond the Hatfield Road roundabout, with a tower as something of a landmark, (marking the highest point in St Albans).

Parking is available in the Churchyard (enter via the slip road by the Blacksmith's Arms), as well as a mixture of free and voucher parking locally.

St Albans is not far from the M1 and M25 motorways and has good train services from London, so it could provide a ‘local’ Gathering for those in the southeast who are prepared to travel. We have friends in Essex and London who are intending to make the journey, as well as Companions in the far parts of Hertfordshire.
