Pilgrimage To Now/Here, East Riding of Yorkshire

‘Four Directions’

Saturday 1st July 2017, 9.30am for 10am until 3.00pm

Led by Jacky Stride and Ruth Iantorno, Contemplative Fire Companions.

During the day, we will walk mindfully in the beautiful space of Longshaw, getting in touch with ourselves and our place in wild nature. Then, with the help of an exercise based on the Native American tradition of the Medicine Wheel, we will each seek God’s invitation for our journey of life in Christ.

The day can be adapted for anyone who feels unable to walk far.

We will be outside for some time, whatever the weather so please bring waterproof clothes and boots. It would also be useful to bring a small stool or groundsheet to sit on outside, and a notebook or paper for journaling.

Please bring a packed lunch

Venue: Moorland Discovery Centre, National Trust Longshaw Estate, near Sheffield, Derbyshire S11 7TZ. (Use the main Woodcroft car park – charges apply.)

It is very helpful to know numbers attending, so please pre-book if at all possible

Suggested donation for the day, between £10 and £20 per person

To register for the day, please send your name and address (and your email address if you would like an acknowledgement), together with your cheque payable to ‘Contemplative Fire’, to Catherine Musgrave at 9 Kerwin Drive, Sheffield, S17 9DG, email
